How can we help?

Installing, signing in, and what to do when something goes wrong.

Install Com Client

  1. Download the launcher with the button at the top and run Com Client Launcher Setup.exe.
  2. Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" because the launcher is new: click More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Open the launcher and sign in with Microsoft (the account that owns Minecraft Java).
  4. Press Play. The first start downloads Minecraft, Java, Fabric and Com Client (a few hundred MB), later starts are quick.

The launcher updates itself and Com Client. You never need to install Java, Fabric or anything else.

Signing in

  • Launcher: click your face at the bottom left, then Add account. A Microsoft window opens; sign in there. Your password never goes through Com Client.
  • In game: Accounts in the main menu. Add account opens Microsoft's login page in your browser; after signing in you land on an almost empty page: copy its address (Ctrl+L, Ctrl+C) and Com Client picks it up by itself.
  • Token login (in game): paste a Minecraft access token. It works until the token expires (about 24 hours). Never share tokens with anyone.
  • "This Microsoft account doesn't own Minecraft Java": you signed in with a different Microsoft account than the one you bought Minecraft with.
  • "No Xbox profile": sign in once on minecraft.net, then try again.

The game doesn't start

  • Open the launcher's Logs page: the last red lines usually say what's wrong.
  • Too much or too little memory: in Profiles → Game press Auto-optimise, it picks the right amount for your PC.
  • Antivirus: allow the launcher and its folder (%APPDATA%\net.comclient.launcher).
  • Still stuck? Open the Logs window (from the Logs page), press Upload to mclo.gs and send us the link: it shows exactly what happened.

It crashed: what now?

  1. The launcher asks "Why did it crash?" after a crash. Click it: the Crashes page explains the cause in plain words and names the mod that broke it.
  2. If it's one of your own mods: open Mods and switch it off (or update it with Update all).
  3. Shaders or a resource pack after an update? Turn them off once to check.
  4. If it keeps happening, upload the log from the Logs window (Upload to mclo.gs) and send us the link.

Low FPS

  • Performance mods (Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, EntityCulling) are on by default for every profile; keep them on.
  • Auto-optimise (Profiles → Game) sets render distance, particles and memory for your PC.
  • Heavy modules: Motion Blur, Bloom and shader skies cost the most. Turn them off in the Click GUI (Right Shift).
  • Laptops: plug in the charger and make sure Minecraft runs on the graphics card (Windows Settings → Display → Graphics).

Mods, resource packs and shaders

  • The launcher's Mods page searches Modrinth: install with one click, into the selected profile only.
  • When updates are available, the Mods tab shows a number and the launch bar an Update all button.
  • Coming from another launcher? The Import section (Profiles or Settings) copies your settings, keybinds, servers and resource packs.
  • Whole modpacks: the Modpacks tab under Mods installs a Modrinth modpack as its own profile.

Your page and privacy

  • Every Com Client player has a page at comclient.xyz/u/name. Change your bio, photo, song and links in game under Profile.
  • Set it to friends only in the same place: then it doesn't show on the website or in the leaderboards.
  • Nobody can see which server you are on unless you are friends and Share my server is on.
